"Education"

I was listening to NPR this morning and was struck by something in two different bits. The first one was about President Bush defending domestic spying and someone said, "The American public just needs to be educated about it." Later there was a story on the NASCAR track in Kitsap County and how the people behind it want the state to pay for half the cost. The spokesman for the track people said, "We need to spend the next year educating the legislators about it." So, the new lingo is obviously that if you disagree with me I need to "educate" you until you agree with me. Hmmm...I need to educate President Bush about some things.
