Diet Update
After I was on the diet for two weeks I weighed myself again....I lost 2 whole pounds. That was not the miracle 10 or 12 I had been promised. I know, I know, there are no diet miracles only hard work and self control, still after two weeks of only lean meat and vegetables I expected to see a little more progress. I decided to stick with it though and not eat that Twix bar because 2 pounds lost is still better than nothing or gaining it. Also this diet is really really good for Denny and his diabetes. When we are sticking to it there is a significant decrease in his blood sugar and he doesn't need as much insulin.
Once that first stage is done you start adding back some fruits, whole grains, and other complex carbs. I've been sparing in that only because there have been some times when we've dined w/family members and really eaten things we weren't supposed to...I guess I figure if I stay pretty strict except for those times then it all evens out.
I decided not weigh myself obsessively. I have a physical scheduled for next week and I know they'll weigh me there...
